Because We Believe Ministries is a church plant in Gardena, California. We are grateful to God for this avenue to minister to our community needs. It is our hope and prayer that this website brings glory to God and that you find the resources needed to enhance your knowledge of Him, Jesus Christ, and this body of believers committed to equipping disciples to impact the earth for Jesus Christ. Because We Believe Ministries is called to proclaim the Gospel of Christ and the beliefs of the evangelical Christian faith, to maintain the worship of God, and to inspire in all persons a love for Christ, a passion for righteousness, and a consciousness of their duties to God and their fellow human beings.

TYRONE PHILLIPS
Pastor Tyrone Phillips was raised in Los Angeles, California and grew up in the South Central Los Angeles area. He attended Whittier College in the City of Whittier, California where he earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Business Administration. He has also received a diploma in Discipleship Training from the Church Leadership Training Institute. The Bible says that Jesus is the head of the Church (Colossians 1:18), and it is He Himself who chooses who should enter full-time ministry (Ephesians 4:10-11). Pastor Ty's call to ministry is manifested through the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22) that are visible to others and he is willing to sacrifice himself to carry out God's will and purpose.
Pastor Ty is not only transparent, he's authentic, passionate, and purposeful in his approach to sharing the transforming Gospel of Jesus. He is uniquely created to serve the Body of Believers. Pastor Ty believes that intentional discipleship is the key to developing mature Disciplemakers for Christ that are trained and equip to train and equip others. He enjoys spending time with his lovely wife, Lotresa as well as others family members. You can find him tossing a ball around with young people or spending time relaxing by the beach.
Pastor's Vision
1. To see God’s people grow; spiritually, physically and in every way.
2. To expand the BWB ministry and outreach beyond these four walls.
3. Get out into the community and share the Word of God.
God is pleased when He sees us working together. Therefore, in order to fulfill the vision for BWB Ministries, we must all work together in love and in harmony. We need to be the example in our deeds and share with others our love for Christ.
First Lady Lotresa Phillips
First Lady Lotresa Phillips was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama where at a very young age she was taught by her parents to love the Lord God with all your heart. Lady Phillips is the youngest of 12 siblings, whom all were raised by a praying mother and father. She accepted Christ at a very young age, and was baptized in Overton, Alabama where she has been running for Jesus a long time and hasn’t got tired yet.
Lady Lotresa’s first ministry is to her husband, where she’s a devoted wife that’s been happily married to the Love of her life, Pastor Ty for 22 years. She takes pleasure in family structure, and spending quality time with her nieces and nephews.
First Lady is well known for her cheerful spirit and her willingness to worship and sing praises. She is a leader who knows that the true meaning of living a righteous life consists of seeking God through your prayer life, your praise, and through your worship. Mentor, virtuous servant, and vessel of grace are the characteristics of this dynamic Woman of God. As she walks in the Wisdom and Favor of God, the ability to work in in several capacities is a great asset to the ministry and mission. Her passion is mentoring young ladies and teaching them positive thinking, how to dream big, how to love themselves, and how to spiritually and naturally grow. Lady Phillips loves serving her community and she has been the faithful Leader of BWBM Outreach for 2 years, where she serves both God and people.
As a true Proverbs 31 Woman, she opens her hand to the poor and reaches out her hands to the needy. She is not afraid of snow for her household is clothed with scarlet. Proverbs 31:20-21
